4)North Carolina Museum of Art
Be sure you have lunch - the restaurant is spectacular. There is also an amazing park. "As a regular art tourist, I've been to art museums in every city I visit, but this one stands out for it's incredible collection, beautiful surroundings and delightful Iris Cafe. And it's free! Really. You need to see this museum and will be amazed at the breadth of the collection, from modern, to historic, to traditional European, to exotic African. The 30 Rodins are off the chart! Loved the Judaica selection and the exhibition in the second building is a must see too." map
5) Pit Authentic Barbecue
Great Bite of the South! "I was in town for a wedding, we had just checked in and food was first on the agenda. Within moments of sitting down I was already eating biscuits and hush puppies! Got the pulled pork, was very tasty, and enjoyed the slaw and Mac and cheese. Good first bite of being in the south!" map

"We went on the electric bike tour of downtown Raleigh. Talk about an easy ride -- the bikes were comfortable and super easy. The second you start to pedal with effort, you get help from your battery. Fun, informative and enjoyable. Would do again."
"This park if made for runners, bikers, and hikers. I was able to do a nice long 10K run each morning of the week and do trail running, run by the lakes and rivers as well as on pine needle covered trails, rocky roads, or dirt trails. Some trails are hilly so check out a map for beginner and intermediate trails. Worth a try if you want a nice run while in Cary, North Carolina."
